About David Kendrew

A highly regarded mediator with expertise in effective dispute resolution.

David is a full time mediator and has wide experience in dispute and conflict resolution. He was a Solicitor in private practice for nearly 40 years and handles legal disputes of different type and was Managing Partner in the Carlisle law firm of Bendles for 23 years until 2015.

He brings his legal experience and knowledge of dispute resolution to the mediation process and as a Mediator can help people achieve “out of court” settlements to many different disputes. His approach is calm and constructive enabling parties to focus on their best interests. He works as a neutral who can be accepted and trusted by all parties to the dispute.

David is dual qualified as both a Civil/Commercial Mediator and a Family Mediator. This means he is able to draw on the best of different styles of mediation to assist the parties in resolving their dispute in a fair and cost effective way.

1996 to date: Mediated variety of civil disputes including:-

  • Boundary Disputes.
  • Contractual and Civil Disputes.
  • Inheritance and Probate Disputes between members of a family over division of assets following death of family member.
  • Disputes in the work place in the public and private sector.
    - harassment, bullying, sexual harassment and line management issues.

And from 2001

  • Mediated relationship, financial and children's disputes following
    relationship breakdown.
